Managing Contacts in Microsoft Teams and on Desk Phones
In Microsoft Teams:
Adding a “speed dials” (in Teams client only):
Using existing call history.
Click “Calls” (red arrow), then “Phone” (red square), find a contact in your call history (blue square), click the three dots next to their name, then either click “Add to speed dial” (green) -or- “Add contact” (yellow).
Searching for a contact.
While on the “Calls” screen, click “Contacts” (red square), then search for a contact. Locate the contact in the list below, click the three dots next to their name, then either click “Add to speed dial” (green) -or- “Add Contact” (or “Remove Contact”, as shown below).
On Polycom Phones:
Adding contacts as a “Favorite” on your phone:
Go to your Outlook contacts, search for a contact, then right-click the contact and click “Add to Favorites”.
To verify the contact was added to your favorites, in your Outlook client at the bottom of the right-side navigation pane, right-click the “Contacts” icon, then click “Dock the peek”.
On the right side of the Outlook window, a docked “Search People” favorites pane (as shown below) should appear.
Within a few minutes, your freshly added “Favorite” should appear on your desk phone’s main screen.
